Meatless Mayhem

Manhattan's home to some of the most amazing meatless vendors around, and for this weekend only they were all together in one location.

More than 80 companies showed  off their goods at the 3rd Annual Vegetarian Food Festival.  Knowing that tons of free samples would be up for grabs, are you the least bit surprised I attended?

Because I refused to pay $30 for a VIP ticket, the line to get inside the Metropolitan Pavilion was a bit long.  But thank goodness for the Vegcorp; they did a great job at sending vendors out with free samples to keep us entertained.

And once I got inside, well talk about a vegetarian heaven on earth!
These vegetarian rolls from Beyond Sushi looked so delicious.
I grabbed a packet of Sweet Tree (made from six grain rice, avocado, sweet potato, and alfalfa sprouts) for dinner.

These vegan treats from Pink Frosting Cupcake looked absolutely scrumptious!  A total sucker for all things sugary, I grabbed two for the road.
Now that's a good looking popsicle!
And for the kiddos, a craft station was set up where puppets could be made using only recycled materials.
It looks like vegetarians come in all ages!
The Chick-fil-A cow says "Eat More Chicken," but I'm thinking the PETA cow would say "Eat More Salad."

So many samples, so little time!
